BassLab

Support

From inside the app, open Settings → Contact Us — it reaches us with your account already attached, which saves a round of questions. Otherwise email support@basslabapp.com. One person reads both, so a reply usually takes a day or two.

What to include

Anything you can tell us shortens the exchange. The address your account is under, your device and iOS version, what you were doing, and what happened instead are usually enough to reproduce a problem. If a song failed to separate or a take scored oddly, say which one.

FAQ's

What equipment do I need? BassLab records your bass using a USB interface connected to your iPhone or iPad. Sample interfaces:

Nothing is being recorded, or the tuner shows no signal. BassLab listens to a bass, and on a phone with nothing plugged in there is very little for it to hear. Connect the instrument through an audio interface, and check that BassLab is allowed access to the microphone in the iOS Settings app.

Managing or cancelling a subscription. Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple, and only Apple can change them: open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. The Plans screen in BassLab links to the same place. Cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends to avoid the next renewal.

Restoring a purchase on a new device. Sign in, open Settings → Plans, and tap Restore Purchases.

Deleting your account. Settings → Delete Account, inside the app. It removes your account and the audio you uploaded. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription — do that in the iOS Settings app, as above.
